PADUCAH – The National Weather Service in Paducah says a Heat Advisory will be in effect today from noon to 7 p.m. for Alexander, Jackson, Johnson, Massac, Pope, Pulaski, Union and Williamson counties. Heat index values up to 107 are expected.
Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat illnesses.
High heat index values are also expected tomorrow and another advisory is likely.
You should drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.
