SPRINGFIELD – Franklin County Sheriff’s Deputy Samantha Forgatch was recognized at the American Legion, Department of Illinois, 106th Annual Convention in Springfield Friday.
According to Sheriff Kyle Bacon, Deputy Forgatch’s submission for recognition was one of only eight chosen by the statewide American Legion Safety, Law and Order Committee and based upon an arrest of a violent individual that happened in late 2023.
Sheriff Bacon appreciates members of the Thompsonville American Legion Post 1194 for their nomination and continued support of the sheriff’s office and its employees.
The sheriff says they are very proud of Deputy Forgatch for her great work and continued service to the sheriff’s office and the citizens of Franklin County.
