MARION – A man has been arrested and charged for burglary, theft and several gun-related offenses after Williamson County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a vehicle burglary in the 2900 block of Nielson Crossing Road south of Marion just after 7 Thursday morning.

Deputies met with the victim who said a handgun was stolen from his vehicle.
About a hour later, a call came in from a woman saying a suspicious man had “been messing around” on their property near the burglary scene, then entered the roadway and began traveling west on Grassy Road.
Deputies saw Matthew C. Rodier placing an object on the ground. He was detained and the object was the stolen firearm. It was loaded with a round in the chamber.
Rodier also had an active Williamson County arrest warrant for Failure to Appear on meth possession charges. He was taken into custody without incident and booked into the Williamson County Jail.
