MT. VERNON – A subcontractor for the City of Mt. Vernon will perform asphalt milling starting Tuesday through Thursday on several streets throughout the city.
Milling will be done on 16th Street from Casey Avenue to College Street, 23rd Street from Logan Street to Perkins Avenue, Forest Avenue from 26th Street to 27th Street, Gilbert Street from 9th Street to 10th Street, Opdyke Avenue from Ward Street to 1st Street, 1st Street from Casey Avenue to Castleton, McPherson from 12th Street to Kensington, Airport Road from Liebengood to Stinson Drive and Douglas Street from Marteeny Street to Stinson Drive.
Streets will be closed to thru traffic at times. Driveway access may be briefly limited while equipment passes.
Please use caution near milling equipment and plan alternate routes.
