CARMI – A Norris City woman was arrested on drug charges following a traffic stop in Carmi late Thursday night.
Carmi Police say 40-year-old Kimberly J. Smith was stopped at Main and Haley and arrested for Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of a Controlled Substance, Unlawful Use of Property, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Driving While License Suspended and Possession of Cannabis in a Motor Vehicle by Driver.
Smith was taken to and lodged in the White County Jail.
Her passenger, Michelle Miller, was cited for Illegal Transportation of Alcohol by Passenger and released at the scene.
