CARMI – A Carmi Walmart employee from McLeansboro was arrested for Retail Theft Friday.
Carmi Police say the employee, identified as 20-year-old Aaron Michael Meade, had been failing to scan all items in his cart and using less valuable barcodes to scan higher cost items.
Police met with Walmart loss prevention about Meade, and after a brief investigation, Meade was arrested and taken to White County Jail. He was later released pending a court appearance per pre-trial fairness.
