MURPHYSBORO – The body of a 26-year-old man was pulled from Kinkaid Lake Saturday afternoon after he jumped from the cliffs and failed to resurface after trying to get back on land.
The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office says they received several 911 calls reporting a possible drowning at Kinkaid Lake Bluffs around 5:20 p.m.
Deputies and area emergency responders went to the area. They found and recovered the body.
The man’s name is not being released as this time as the investigation continues.
