CHRISTOPHER – Christopher Police have made an arrest in a home invasion that happened Sunday on West Sylvia Street.

Police say 50-year-old Jonathan C. Love is charged with Home Invasion, Battery, Criminal Trespass to Residence and Resisting/Obstructing a Peace Officer. He was booked into the Franklin County Jail.
Love reportedly entered the home and began beating up the tenant inside. An officer on the way to the home saw Love running east from the home where the emergency call came from. Love appeared to have a small head injury which raised concern.
The officer made contact with Love, who began walking away and then fled on foot, going north through yards after not obeying the officer’s commands. After a brief foot pursuit, the officer tased Love and took him into custody. EMS was called in to evaluate Love, who was medically cleared.
Love was taken back to where the emergency call was made. The victim identified Love as the suspect. An on-scene investigation was done. Pictures of Love’s facial and head injuries were taken.
