New music has been released from the late rapper DMX and Joyner Lucas, who are back with a new single “Bring Out The Worst” – coming on the 27th anniversary of DMX’s It’s Dark and Hell Is Hot.

Initially released in 1998, It’s Dark and Hell Is Hot debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and earned 4x Platinum status. DMX – real name Earl Simmons – died at the age of 50 in April 2021.

Another posthumous album from DMX is also in the works; according to a press release, a collection of never-before-heard collaborations is slated for release this summer: “The full project is slated for release later this summer and will celebrate the life, legacy and influence of one of rap’s most enduring voices.”

At press time no track list was available, though Rolling Stone reported that Wiz Khalifa and Kevin Gates are among the artists who will appear alongside X on the late rapper’s second posthumous LP, the follow-up to 2021’s Exodus.
