PADUCAH – Forecasters at the National Weather Service Office in Paducah say an extended heat wave will impact our region for several days starting Saturday.

Daily peak heat index values of 100 to 107 from Saturday through Wednesday in addition to air temperatures in the lower to mid-90s are expected.
While an official heat advisory has not been issued at this time, the odds of one being needed in the next day or two are growing quite high.
Heat is the leading cause of weather-related deaths most years. Protect yourself during extreme heat.
Limit your outdoor activities, stay hydrated, check on others and check on your animals.
