MARION – The Marion Police Department is now accepting applications for its second annual Badges and Backpacks event that’s designed to help local students in the Marion Unit 2 School District in need by providing essential school supplies to start the year off right.
You can pick up an application at the police department on DeYoung Street and return it no later than Friday, July 25 by 4 p.m.
Community donors are also being sought to help make this event a success. If you’re interested in donating or have any questions, call 618-993-2124 ext. 1205.
