Anna Receives ITEP Funding for Multi-Use Path along East Vienna Street

ANNA – Over $2 million in funding has been awarded to the city of Anna through the Illinois Transportation Enhancement Program (ITEP) to construct a multi-use path that will run from the intersection of Springfield Avenue and East Vienna Street/Illinois 146 to Walmart.

The city says the multi-use path to Walmart will improve accessibility while increasing safety for residents and visitors alike.

Anna is one of 66 projects receiving funding statewide, with a total of $139.2 million awarded through the Illinois Department of Transportation.

Made possible by federal and state funds administered by IDOT, ITEP awards are focused on improving bike and pedestrian travel, as well as making other surface transportation improvements that promote alternative options for getting around your community.
