WOODLAWN – A crash involving two semis towing trailers happened just after noon Monday on eastbound I-64 near the Woodlawn exit.
According to Illinois State Police, a semi driven by a 62-year-old man from Ellaville, GA, rear-ended another semi driven by a 43-year-old man from Happy Valley, OR.
The Georgia driver and his passenger were taken to an area hospital with injuries. The Oregon driver was cited for Failure to Reduce Speed to Avoid an Accident.
Eastbound I-64 was closed until around 2 p.m.
