Police say 21-year-old Collin P. Maguire is lodged in the Franklin County Jail charged with Indecent Solicitation of a Child and Solicitation to Meet a Child.

When police arrived they made contact with a Social Media Platform called “Predator Poachers” and spoke with the creator, Alex Rosen. Rosen stated he had completed an investigation which involved a male subject coming to West Frankfort to meet a young child with the intention of committing a sexual act. Rosen advised he captured evidence and confessions on audio and visual recordings.

Police began speaking with the individual identified as Maguire, and after completion of the initial investigation, Maguire was taken to the West Frankfort Police Department for processing and then to jail.

Online court records show Maguire had a petition hearing to deny pre-trial release Monday in Franklin County Court. That petition was granted. Maguire is scheduled to have a preliminary hearing on Wednesday, June 25, at 1:30 p.m. in Franklin County Court.
