BENTON – A Benton man is facing multiple charges after begin stopped by a Franklin County Sheriff’s deputy Thursday night in Benton.
Franklin County Sheriff Kyle Bacon says during the stop, the deputy learned that 52-year-old Jonathan D. Eickelman was wanted for Failure to Appear in Franklin County Court.
After telling Eickelman about the arrest warrant, the deputy tried to place him into custody, but Eickelman pulled away and actively resisted deputies attempts to arrest him. He was eventually taken into custody and taken to the Franklin County Jail.
Eickelman was charged with Aggravated Battery to a Peace Officer, Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine and Resisting a Peace Officer
The Benton Police Department assisted the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office in the arrest.
