JACOB – A deadly house fire that recently happened in Jacob is under investigation.
According to the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to the fire at 60 West Jacob Road around 8:25 a.m. on Thursday, May 15. They found the house fully engulfed. Several area fire departments responded to fight the blaze. Forty-nine-year-old Amy Hickman lived at the home. She died in the fire.
The sheriff’s office along with the State Fire Marshal is investigating the sequence of events relating to the fire.
