Carmi Police Make Arrests over Memorial Day Weekend

CARMI – A Carmi woman, 35-year-old Janae C. Keller, was stopped by Carmi Police Saturday night for Driving while License Suspended and Possession of Cannabis in a Motor Vehicle by Driver at Main and 7th Street.

Keller was also cited for Operation of a Motor Vehicle with Suspended Registration due to Mandatory Insurance.

She was released on a Notice to Appear in White County Court on June 24.

A Carmi man, 19-year-old Randy C. Morris, was arrested on a White County arrest warrant for Unlawful Failure to Register as a Sex Offender (Place of Employment) after Carmi Police were called to 406 Illinois Street regarding a loose dog chasing children Sunday night.

Morris was booked into the White County Jail due to the conditions of the arrest warrant.

A Carmi woman, 57-year-old Angela M. Castleberry, was arrested and charged Monday afternoon after Carmi Police responded to 712 W. Sycamore Street for a report that she trespassed on a man’s property, yelling and calling him vulgar names.

Police say the man pressed charges for Criminal Trespass to Real Property and Disorderly Conduct. Castleberry was arrested by other responding officers and taken to the White County Jail.

She was booked and released with a Notice to Appear for both charges.
