PADUCAH – The National Weather Service in Paducah says a brief EF-1 tornado happened early Tuesday morning in Union County.
The tornado was on the ground from 1:46 to 1:50 a.m. with peak winds of 100 mph. Its maximum width was 50 yards and traveled 1.8 miles. No injuries or deaths were reported.
It touched down along Illinois 146 6.5 miles northeast of Dongola. It uprooted and snapped several trees along with causing some minor shingle and siding damage to a few homes.
