MARION – The Williamson County Highway Department started removing tree debris Monday from the affected tornado areas and will continue daily operations as the weather allows.
Work began on Quarter Horse Road and moved eastward. The Illinois Department of Transportation will handle tree debris on state routes IL 148, 37 and 166. Please stack only tree debris and no construction materials or household items near the road. Do not block driveways or drainage ditches. Keep all vehicles off the road to ensure that heavy equipment can pass through easily.
