Marion Unit 2 Sets Up Tornado Disaster Relief Fund at PNB

MARION – The Marion Unit 2 School District has established a Tornado Disaster Relief Fund at Peoples National Bank to help families in the district impacted by Friday’s tornado.

You can make your donation at Peoples National Bank locations in Marion, Harrisburg and Benton.

You can also drop off your monetary donations and gift cards for food and essential items until Friday at all Marion Unit 2 buildings.

Following the aftermath of Friday’s tornado, the school district began a list for staff to put people’s names on that were affected which continues to grow according to District Assistant Superintendent Lindsay Watts.

Marion High School Principal Joe Williams says members of the Wildcats football team registered as volunteers Saturday and went to the affected areas to help out with relief efforts.

As for your donation, Williams says every little bit counts no matter how big or small it may be.
