BENTON – The City of Benton began water hydrant testing and maintenance on the northwest side of town Tuesday. This will continue through Friday, May 23, then it will move over to the southwest side of town on Monday, May 26 through Friday, June 6. Other times will be announced later.
Areas of current testing within the city can be found each week on the City of Benton website and on the Benton Fire Department Facebook page.
During testing, your water may become discolored. In the process of flushing and testing fire hydrants, sediments may get stirred up and pass into your water system. If this happens, run your cold water until discoloration disappears.
