CARBONDALE – A 15-year-old boy was recently arrested on a gun charge after Carbondale Police responded to the 700 block of South Lewis Lane for a report of a male displaying a firearm during an altercation.
Police say just before 6:30 last Friday night, police found the boy and recovered the firearm without incident. He was then arrested, charged and turned over to his parent with monitoring equipment when it was determined no juvenile detention facilities were available.
The incident remains under investigation.
