HARRISBURG – A Saline County woman has been informally charged with Home Invasion, two counts of Aggravated Battery with a Firearm, Unlawful Use of a Weapon and two counts of Unlawful Possession of a Weapon by a Felon following a report that a 25-year-old woman had been shot in the head around 3:50 Monday afternoon in Harrisburg.
According to Harrisburg Police, officers and Saline County Sheriff’s deputies responded and found the woman walking to the hospital near the intersection of Michigan and National streets with a gunshot wound to the face.

The woman and her boyfriend identified the suspect at 30-year-old Amy N. Tolley of Harrisburg. The woman was taken to Harrisburg Medical Center and later transferred to a trauma center.
Officers secured the crime scene and began a search for the suspect. Officers located Tolley just after 6:30 Monday night at a home on the west side of Harrisburg. Tolley was taken into custody without incident.
The Saline County Sheriff’s Department, Carrier Mills Police Department, and the Illinois State Police Crime Scene Services assisted Harrisburg Police with the incident.
