Man Arrested for Home Invasion and Aggravated Battery after Stabbing Incident in Carbondale

CARBONDALE – A man was booked into the Jackson County Jail charged with Home Invasion and Aggravated Battery following a report of a stabbing at a home in the 800 block of West Mill Street in Carbondale late Monday night.

Carbondale Police say 39-year-old Branden Rogers and the victim were known acquaintances and Rogers was at the victim’s home. Rogers left after the victim asked him to leave, but he came back and tried to force his way back inside. Rogers stabbed the victim who was trying to stop him from coming back into the home. The victim then struck Rogers until he left.

Rogers was charged with his offenses and treated at the emergency room for non-life-threatening injuries he received from the victim. He was then taken to jail. The victim was also treated at the emergency room for non-life-threatening injuries.
