Williamson County Spring Cleanup Day May 17

HERRIN – The Williamson County Illinois Board of Commissioners will be hosting a County Wide Spring Clean-up Day for Williamson County residents on Saturday, May 17, from 7 a.m. to noon, at the Republic Services Herrin Transfer Station on Bandyville Road. 

Proof of Williamson County residency will be required. 

Residents are encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity to dispose of items listed below. 

APPROVED ITEMS:
MSW (Municipal Solid Waste)
Electronics
Automotive Tires (No Commercial)
Appliances (Stoves, Refrigerators, Microwaves, Freezers, Dishwashers, Washers & Dryers, Water Heaters, Furnaces, Air Conditioners, etc.)
Car Batteries-(Automotive only, Limit 1 NO EXCEPTIONS)
Recyclables
Plastics
Metal

NOT APPROVED ITEMS- NO EXCEPTIONS:
No Yard Waste or Debris
No Medical/Sharps
No Chemicals
No Roofing Shingles
No Hazardous Waste
No Oil-Based Paint (Latex Paint is Acceptable Only if Treed with Cat Litter Mix)
