Woman Arrested on Meth, Paraphernalia Charges after Traffic Stop in Metropolis

METROPOLIS – A woman was recently arrested and charged with Possession of Methamphetamine and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia after a Metropolis K9 officer stopped the vehicle she was in for an equipment violation on Catherine at Sanders Circle in Metropolis.

Metropolis Police say the officer ran a computer check on the driver, 40-year-old Ronald Hoyle of Mayfield, KY, and found he had a suspended driver’s license. The K9 alerted to the vehicle and a search found a backpack, belonging to Hoyle’s passenger – 43-year-old Jennifer L. Evans of Metropolis – containing drug paraphernalia and meth.

Hoyle was charged with Driving while License Suspended and released on a Notice to Appear. Evans was charged with her offenses and lodged in the Massac County Detention Center.
