CARMI – A man is lodged in the White County Jail for Domestic Battery after his fiancé called Carmi Police saying that he choked her and hit her with a frying pan Thursday night.
The victim, Sarah Jones, told police 48-year-old Steven D. Forrester of Carmi hit her legs with the pan. An officer saw red marks on her legs consistent with what she reported. She signed a complaint.
Police went to Forrester’s home located at 720 Marguerite St. where the incident reportedly happened. Forrester was taken into custody without incident and booked into the county jail.
