JOHNSTON CITY – There will be a fundraiser for Johnston City Fire Chief Tom Burton on Friday, Nov. 1 at Andresen’s Banquet Center on East Broadway in Johnston City. Doors will open at 4:30 p.m.
Chief Burton was recently diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma (Cancer of plasma cells). He will be undergoing treatment soon.
Tickets are $12. You can buy your tickets before the event at City Hall and at the fire department. They will also be sold at the door. The ticket will include barbecue, baked beans and potato salad.
A live auction will start at 6:30 p.m. A cash bar will also be available.
All proceeds will go directly to Chief Burton for medical and travel expenses.
