The Williamson County Sheriff’s Office says Carl T. Stokes is in the county jail for Home Invasion/Deadly Weapon, two counts of Aggravated Battery/Deadly Weapon, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Deputies responded to a disturbance in the 11000 block of Revere Street in the Paulton area at 3:30 a.m. and took a report from the homeowner who said Stokes forced his way into her home threatening to hurt her with a knife.

The woman was familiar with Stokes, but wasn’t able to identify him. Stokes fled the scene before deputies arrived.

Deputies continued their investigation and went to a nearby home around 8:10 a.m. for another reported disturbance. They learned Stokes had been located in the yard of a home nearby.

Stokes was stopped in the roadway, became aggressive and entered the roadway attacking the victim with a knife.

A physical altercation occurred and the victim defended himself causing injury to Stokes. They suffered minor cuts.

An ambulance took Stokes to a local hospital and was later released. The victim declined treatment.

Stokes was taken to jail after he was released from the hospital and cited for the offenses we mentioned earlier.
