Short Labor Day Pursuit by Christopher Police Ends with Man’s Arrest

CHRISTOPHER – A Mt. Vernon man is facing multiple charges after leading Christopher Police on a short pursuit on a stolen motorcycle Monday afternoon.

Around 4:30 p.m., police saw 18-year-old Caleb M. Kiselewski driving a black motorcycle which matched the description of a reported stolen motorcycle out of a neighboring agency.

Police tried to stop Kiselewski after seeing him commit several motor vehicle violations which ultimately resulted in Kiselewski fleeing from officers.

After a short pursuit, officers were able to take Kiselweski into custody without incident.

Kiselewski was charged with Aggravated Fleeing and Eluding, Endangering a Child, Reckless Driving, Aggravated Speed, Operating a Motor Vehicle while Registration Revoked, No Valid Driver’s License, Speeding [School Zone], Improper Display of Registration, Improper Lane Usage, and Stop and Yield Signs.

Christopher Police thank the Sesser and Zeigler police departments and the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office for their assistance.
