Harrisburg Police Issue Warning about Fake Microsoft Support Alerts

HARRISBURG – Harrisburg Police say you don’t need to fall for fake Microsoft Support alerts.

With the CrowdStrike fiasco taking down Microsoft Windows computers worldwide, police are seeing an aggressive increase in the “Fake Microsoft Support” scam.

If a click on a website pops up a screaming alert about Microsoft, just reboot.

Do not call the number, do not let “Support” in, and do not pay them in Bitcoin or gift cards.
