SOUTHERN ILLINOIS – With severe weather on the way to Southern Illinois, many schools have announced that they will be closing early today, May 8, for the safety of their students and staff.
Hamilton County Unit 10 Schools
Due to threat of inclement weather, Hamilton County Unit 10 schools will have early dismissal today, May 8th.
The dismissal schedule will be as follows:
Preschool: 1:50 p.m.
East Side: 2:00 p.m.
Jr./Sr. High: 2:10 p.m.
Dahlgren: 2:20 p.m.
Southeastern Illinois College in Harrisburg
Due to official reports that severe weather is moving into the area this afternoon through the evening, SIC will close campus at 12 p.m. today. This closure includes all classes and activities.
Woodlawn USD #209 will dismiss at 1:10 p.m. today. The YMCA after school program is cancelled as well. The music performance scheduled for tonight is postponed until Wednesday, May 15, at 6:30 p.m.
