Deputies Arrest Man after Shutting Down Colp Drug House

COLP – A man was taken into custody on multiple drug-related offenses after Williamson County Sheriff’s deputies executed a search warrant and shut down a drug house on South Johnson Street in Colp Friday evening.

According to the Williamson County Sheriff’s Office, Roquecce “Rocky” Benjamin was arrested and cited for Delivery of a Controlled Substance (Cocaine) – a Class 1 felony, Possession of Controlled Substance (Cocaine) – a Class 4 felony, Delivery of Cannabis 30-500 grams – a Class 3 felony, Possession of Cannabis 30-500 grams – a Class 4 Felony, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia – a Class A misdemeanor, and Possession of Adult Use Cannabis in a Motor Vehicle – a Class A misdemeanor. He was taken to and lodged in the Williamson County Jail.

The search warrant, and Benjamin’s arrest, are the product of an ongoing investigation by the sheriff’s office which began last year. The search warrant was executed at 6:45 p.m. Friday.

This investigation has included multiple search warrants, controlled purchases of narcotics, surveillance, countless interviews, and numerous arrests resulting in a significant disruption to the flow of illegal drug activity in Williamson County.

While investigating the sale of illegal narcotics in Williamson County, deputies have determined, and subsequently shut down, drug houses believed to be operated by members of the Chicago street gang “Gangster Disciples.”

The intelligence gathering phase of the investigation previously resulted in the recovery of methamphetamine, cocaine, crack cocaine, firearms in the possession of felon drug dealers, and cash.

The search warrant in Colp resulted in the recovery of cocaine, cannabis, drug packaging waste, drug paraphernalia, digital scales, and over $16,000 in cash.
