BENTON – The Rend Lake Area Tourism Council recently announced on its Facebook page that starting in Fiscal Year 2025, it will become the Rend Lake Area Convention Visitors Bureau.
Officials say this transition is made possible through certification by the Illinois Office of Tourism, opening up a world of opportunities for our region.
As the Rend Lake Area Convention Visitors Bureau, it will have access to state and nationwide marketing and promotions, state funding specifically for promoting and marketing our area, enhanced visibility, and resources to attract tourists and events.
