CARBONDALE – Carbondale Police are investigating a Sunday night shooting.
Police say an officer was on foot patrol in the 400 block of East Willow around 9:50 p.m. when she heard shots fired in the area. Several 911 callers reported hearing the shots as well.
Officers responded to a home in the 600 block of North Washington and met with the resident who reported a bullet entered the home causing damage. No one in the home was injured. The investigation then led officers to the 300 block of East Chestnut. Officers found evidence that suggested that was the location where the shots were fired. No injuries have been reported at this time. No suspects have been identified.
