CARBONDALE – The City of Carbondale, along with the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity (DCEO), are hosting a free Grant Writing Workshop on Tuesday, Jan. 23, at 10 a.m., at the Carbondale Civic Center. It’s located at 200 S. Illinois Ave.
Kim Watson, Senior Account Manager-Southern Region of the DCEO, along with city employees, will be leading this workshop. Attendees will learn strong writing skills to learn how to write their own grants and will be informed of state grants available to them. This workshop is free and open to the public and is highly encouraged for those working with non-profits.
