According to the Williamson County Sheriff’s Office, Jonathan H. Fox was cited for Possession of Methamphetamine less than 5 grams, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (Class A Misdemeanor), and No Lamp at Nighttime (Petty Offense). He was taken to and lodged in the Williamson County Jail.

The sheriff’s office says around 6:40 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 28, deputies responded to the area of Stotlar and Valparaiso roads to the report of a car versus bicycle traffic crash.

Both parties were traveling westbound on Stotlar Road. The driver of the car was not able to see the bicyclist prior to impact and believed they had hit a deer.

The bicyclist was operating the bicycle without required lighting near the center of the westbound lane wearing a black coat and black hat.

Upon impact the bicyclist, identified as. Fox, relocated to a tree 25 feet from the roadway, sat down, and began digging in a black bag which was in his possession. EMS arrived on scene and advised Fox would be transported to an area hospital for moderate injuries.

Deputies relocated to the tree that Fox had seated himself underneath and observed three hypodermic syringes and an orange ARC Electric brand C cell flashlight. Further examination of the flashlight revealed four pills which were later identified as Trazadone located in the battery compartment. Upon removal of the Trazadone, a small plastic bag containing a white crystalline substance, which later field tested positive for Methamphetamine, was located.

Fox was medically cleared from the hospital, and upon release, deputies advised Fox he was under arrest. He was then cited and taken to jail.

An accident report was completed.
