Driver Killed in Early Sunday Crash in Rural Alexander County

MILLER CITY – Illinois State Police responded to the 22000 block of Miller City Road in rural Alexander County early Sunday morning for a single-vehicle crash that killed the driver.

According to an preliminary report from ISP, the fatal crash happened at 3 a.m. when the driver of a vehicle going east on Miller City Road drove off the roadway on the right and overturned several times. The driver was the only person in the vehicle. They were pronounced dead at the scene. No name was released.

ISP says no further information is currently available.
