Man Cited for Possessing Controlled Substance Following Traffic Stop in Williamson County

MARION – A man was recently cited for several offenses including Possession of a Controlled Substance after being stopped by Williamson County Sheriff’s deputies for committing multiple traffic offenses in the area of Paulton Road and Streetcar Road near Corinth.

The Williamson County Sheriff’s office says deputies initiated the traffic stop on the driver, Todd D. Rasmussen, just before 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 21.

Rasmussen was discovered to have an active arrest warrant out of Indiana and a revoked driver’s license in Illinois. Rasmussen was taken into custody and the vehicle was towed incident to arrest.

While conducting an inventory of the vehicle, deputies located a schedule 4 controlled substance.

Besides being cited for Possession of Controlled Substance, Rasmussen was cited for Driving While License Revoked, No Valid Driver’s License and Speeding. He was taken to the Williamson County Jail.
