Man Wanted on Warrant for Stolen Vehicle Cited for Meth Possession in Marion

MARION – A man was cited for Possession of Methamphetamine after Williamson County Sheriff’s deputies attempted to serve an arrest warrant in the 100 block of North 4th Street in Marion earlier this month.
According to the Williamson County Sheriff’s Office, Richard J. Bird was arrested around 4:10 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 6.
Deputies contacted Bird who was wanted on a failure to appear warrant for Possession of a Stolen Vehicle.
While taking Bird into custody, deputies discovered a white crystal like substance on his person which later field tested positive for Methamphetamine. He was then cited and taken to the Williamson County Jail.
Bird was issued a Citation for Possession of Methamphetamine and transported to and remanded into the custody of the Williamson County Jail.
