CARBONDALE – A Carbondale man is facing multiple charges after Carbondale Police responded to the 200 block of South Lewis Lane for a domestic disturbance involving a firearm early Sunday morning.
According to Carbondale Police, officers learned the suspect, 37-year-old Nicoliest A. Brown, threatened a victim with a firearm and damaged the victim’s property during a dispute. Brown attempted to flee from officers and resisted them when being detained. Officers recovered a firearm that was found on Brown during his arrest.
Brown was arrested for Aggravated Unlawful Use of a Weapon, Possession of a Firearm by a Felon, Armed Habitual Offender, Aggravated Domestic Battery, Criminal Damage to Property, Interference with Reporting Domestic Violence and Resisting or Obstructing a Peace Officer. He was lodged in the Jackson County Jail.
Carbondale Police say the investigation is active and ongoing.
