VIENNA – An accident involving a horse-drawn buggy and a passenger vehicle was reported just before 10 Monday morning on US 45 near Old Bloomfield Road in Vienna.
According to Illinois State Police, for unknown reasons, the passenger vehicle rear-ended the buggy, causing all three occupants to be ejected. Two adults in the buggy were transported by helicopter to an area hospital with serious injuries. A child in the buggy was transported by ambulance to an area hospital with serious injuries. The driver of the passenger vehicle refused medical attention on scene.
ISP says there is no further information.
