CARBONDALE – Carbondale Police announced Friday the arrest of a Marion man in connection with a recent series of damage property incidents where windows of Carbondale businesses were broken.
With assistance from the Jackson County State’s Attorney, Carbondale Police obtained an arrest warrant for 41-year-old Dustin L. Randolph on five counts of Criminal Damage to Property.
Police with assistance from the Carterville Police Department and the Williamson County Sheriff’s Office located and arrested Randolph in Carterville.
Upon further investigation, Carbondale Police detectives determined that probable cause did not exist to charge Randolph with criminal damage to property at this time. He was released from custody without charges. The investigation is active and ongoing.
Police say the incidents happened between June 27 and June 29 between the hours of midnight to 5 a.m. on West Main and North Illinois streets.
