CARBONDALE – Three people have been arrested and charged in connection with the unlawful sale of firearms in Carbondale.
According to Carbondale Police, officer executed a search warrant Tuesday at a home in the 700 block of South Lewis Lane.
During the search, officers arrested 23-year-old Darrion J. Clark of Carbondale on a Jackson County arrest warrant for Unlawful Sale of Firearms, Unlawful Use of Weapons, and Unlawful Purchase of a Firearm.
Detectives obtained an arrest warrant for Clark as a result of information gained from several ongoing investigations involving the use of firearms recently happening in Carbondale.
During the search warrant, officers also arrested 23-year-old Delvon D. Bennett of Harvey, IL on an arrest warrant for drug possession out of Indiana and 26-year-old Lukyan K. Traylor of Carterville for an arrest warrant out of Jackson County for Burglary.
As a result of the search warrant, detectives charged Clark with additional counts of Unlawful Purchase of Firearms, Unlawful Sale of Firearms, Gun Running, and Manufacture/Delivery of a Controlled Substance.
Clark, Bennett and Traylor were lodged in the Jackson County Jail.
Carbondale Police say the investigations remain active and ongoing.
